Skydance Paramount Will Remove Approximately 2,000 American Positions – Report

Paramount Skydance is scheduled to initiate significant workforce reductions beginning on 27 October, eliminating nearly 2,000 positions in the United States under a budget-saving initiative worth $2bn overseen by CEO David Ellison.

The workforce reduction come after the union of Skydance Media and Paramount Global, which closed this past August worth $8.4bn.

Additional global layoffs are expected, with Paramount Skydance planning to reveal all specifics in its Q3 financial results on 10 November.

Prior news stated the firm aimed to reduce from 2,000 and 3,000 positions by early November.

As of December 2024, the organization had about 18,600 full- and part-time employees and 3,500 project-based staff.

The organization has not yet commented on the matter.
