Alarming Video Captures Instant Law Enforcement Are Stabbed in Unexpected Assault
One senior officer that leaped to the help of a partner that was assaulted by a blade-wielder received the King's Commendation for Courage.
Sgt Tim Ansell struggled against 27-yr-old Jacob Brown after he placed a knife to the neck of his colleague Sgt Marc Foster.
Brown initiated the assault as the officers and their third officer, Police Constable Marcus Wolstencroft, were speaking to a driver subsequent to a traffic accident in that location in July 2023.
Brown attacked with blade the two Sergeant Ansell and Sergeant Foster before Police Constable Wolstencroft incapacitated him with a electric weapon.

Brown was sentenced to an indefinite hospital order in spring 2024, according to the department.
